The other week I got a Sony Ericsson K770i to replace my ailing K800i. It was cheap, direct from Vodafone (& I got quidco cashback) but it was also locked. Not being able to find a free unlock method on the net (unusual) I tried eBay. A while later I had the code and unlocking instructions. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to work. I tried emailing the eBay seller. But no reply.
I then googled k700i again. This time I found a set of instructions which were totally different. And it worked!
The funny end to the story is that I then got an email from the eBay seller saying his method didn’t work and what had I done to unlock mine. I did reply, because I’m nice like that.
