It’s one of those things that I always seem to just muddle through. Yes, loading an M Leica can be a tricky business especially with cold hands or if you are in a hurry. Rest easy! The lovely Nobby Clark (Head Technical Boffin) at Leica Camera UK has sent me a “How To” sheet, which [...]
Me Leica da Leica!

I make no secret of the fact that I am a Leica fan. Just watching the Gadget Show on channel Five and they had a consumer choice section for girly things. The 2 choices were a pair of pink headphones by SkullKandi and a 5 megapixel Minox mini Leica M3. It was a draw, but [...]

Hot news if you are interested in a posh camera for Christmas. Leica Camera UK are selling off a stock of their Leica C-Lux 2 compact cameras direct to the public for only £200, an excellent price (they were over £400), but Leica are also throwing in the beautiful leather Leica case and strap [...]
Bletchley Park – MayDay MayDay!

The weather was absolutely gorgeous for a walk around Bletchley Park, home of the Enigma Machine. During the second world war, code breakers worked here furiously, decoding missives sent by the German forces. According to most sources, the efforts made at Bletchley Park shortened the war and saved many allied lives.
Strange choice for a [...]

Today, for once it wasn’t cold and it wasn’t raining. I grabbed the Leica Digilux 2 and the family (in that order) and went for a walk around the grounds of Linford House. A very lucky couple had chosen the same time to get married in the Church there, so we didn’t stay and intrude [...]
A Snowy Walk

I dragged my dog out for a yomp around the block first thing this morning (she loves it really) Because of the snow I took my Ricoh GR digital along. I grabbed a couple of shots, not easy with a cat chasing hound I’ll tell you, so I resolved to go out again later with [...]
The Gadget Show

I just happened to watch the first episode of the Gadget Show on channel Five tonight. My interest was sparked by the promise of a review of the new Macbook Air. The segment was actually a comparison shootout between the Mac, a Sony Vaio, and the Asus Eee pc. Talk about biased, the eee didn’t [...]
Leica Digilux 2

Another borrowed Leica, this time a Digilux 2. I only had a couple of hours to play today, but thoroughly enjoyed it. The Digilux 2 is quite a bit more of a handful than my compacts and has many more modes (and buttons). I really like the chunky feeling of the camera, and I especially [...]
